L A Raceway Opens 2011 Season with Two Premier Series

LA RacewayOn Friday, April 1, the gates to L A Raceway at LaMonte will open for the first time in 2011 to the USMTS Modifieds,  the Premier Dirt Modified Touring Series in the United States.  Then the following weekend, Saturday, April 9, the ASCS Warrior Region 360 Sprint Cars will take to the track.

The USMTS Modifieds along with the B Modifieds will circle the track on Friday, April 1, this being the only scheduled race featuring the USMTS at the LA Raceway this season.  The cars and stars of the Dirt Knight TV series can be seen with this appearance as they tour with the USMTS Modifieds.  The Dirt Knights TV series shows on VERSUS and covers six of the USMTS drivers as they tour with the series.  They will challenge our local drivers to see who gets the advantage and takes home the money.  Adult admission will be $17, ages 6-12 are $5 and under age 6 are Free.

Then on Saturday, April 9, Crown Power and Equipment of LaMonte will present the ASCS Warrior Region 360 Winged Sprints as they make their first appearance of the season along with the Gill Signs 305 Sprints and the Midwest Lightning Sprints.  This annual open wheel winged sprint show gets all the drivers out to shake off the winter rust and see who will be the ones to beat this season.  Adult admission is $15, Seniors/Military $12, ages 11-15 $6 and under age 11 are Free.

On Saturday, April 2, the DARE car show will be downtown Sedalia from 10 am to 2 pm to be followed by an open practice at the L A Raceway track.  Grandstand admission will be free for the practice session with Pit Access costing $15.

Weekly racing featuring Pitts Homes A Modifieds,  Pitts Homes B Modifieds, Gill Signs 305 Sprints , Xtreme Motors  Street Stocks and Jim’s Tire Service Hobby Stocks will begin on Friday, April 15.  Admission for weekly racing is Adults $10, Seniors/Military $8, Ages 11-15 $6 and under age 11 are free.   Also scheduled for opening night, April 15, will be the 600 Micros.  Professional Flat Track Motorcycles will also be at L A Raceway on Saturday, May 14 for the Gary Bragg Memorial.
