Points will be awarded for the DIRTcar Western Region at all of the Championship Late Model Association DIRTcar Series races, all of the National Championship Racing Association DIRTcar Series races, all of the Midwest DIRTcar Late Model Series races, and a few of the MARS DIRTcar Series races that take place in Oklahoma, Missouri, and Kansas. DIRTcar Western Region points will also be awarded for all of the weekly races at Monnett Speedway (Monnett, MO), Southern New Mexico Speedway (Las Cruces, NM), El Paso Speedway Park (El Paso, TX), and Caney Valley Speedway (Caney, KS). All of these races will also count towards DIRTcar National Points. There will be just over 100 races in this region in 2011.
The 2011 DIRTcar Western Region will kick off the season at two tracks this weekend. The MARS DIRTcar Series will be racing at Thunderbird Speedway (Muskogee, OK) for the first time in almost a decade on Friday, April 1st. On Saturday, April 2nd the late models will be participating in a pre-season event at Southern New Mexico Speedway (Las Cruces, NM).
