MARS DIRTcar SeriesBy Brian Garrison
Muskogee, OK (April 1, 2011) – Before a standing room only crowd, Jesse Stovall of Galena, MO led all thirty laps enroute to the $3,000 payday at Thunderbird Speedway. Stovall started to the outside of pole-sitter Brad Looney of Republic, MO.

Looney had the advantage going into turn one on the start of the race, but Stovall was able to use the high side momentum and pull around him coming off turn two. With the win, Stovall recorded his third feature win with the MARS Series.

Looney stayed with Stovall for much of the race and finished second. Springfield Missouri’s Terry Phillips and Jeremy Payne, would finish third and fourth respectively. Tucson, AZ native R.C. Whitwell finished fifth in the final rundown.

The MARS DIRTcar Series will return to action with a pair of races April 22nd at Batesville Motor Speedway in Batesville, AR and April 23rd at the new West Plains Speedway in West Plains, MO.

The MARS DIRTcar Series would like to thank their sponsors for the 2011 season. Hoosier Racing Tire, Libscomb Auto Group, Powertrain Industries, VP Race Fuels, Wrisco Aluminum, GRT Race Cars, Hatfield Racing Engines, Comp Camps, Supermoon Graphics, Don Babb Motorsports.
