(BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS)  Billy Moyer scored his seventh victory of the 2011 racing season on Friday evening, April 29 at the Farley Speedway in Farley, Iowa!  After winning his heat race and finishing second in the dash, Billy lined up on the outside of the front row in the 50-lap ‘May Day 2 Track Classic’ main event.  The driver known as “Mr. Smooth” grabbed the top spot at the drop of the green flag and held the point throughout the race.  Billy crossed the finish line first to claim the $10,000 payday over Chad Simpson, Kurt Kile, Matt Furman, and Dan Schlieper.

A night later, the #21 team rolled into the West Liberty Raceway in West Liberty, Iowa looking to sweep the ‘May Day 2 Track Classic.’  Billy won his heat race in preliminary action and had another stellar run in the $10,000 to win feature event.  While he was not able to reach victory lane following the 50-lapper, the Batesville, Arkansas native did finish a strong third behind only winner Shannon Babb and runner-up Brian Birkhofer.

“It was good to get back in a racecar after a couple of weeks and I always enjoy racing up in Iowa in front of a bunch of family and sponsors,” commented Moyer earlier this week.  “We had a strong car at Farley and really wasn’t too bad at West Liberty either.  If I couldn’t have won, I am glad we helped Shannon (Babb) get into victory lane for the first time in one of our cars.  That was a neat deal and hopefully that is the first of many wins for him this year.”

The Billy Moyer Racing (BMR) team will take the upcoming May 6-7 weekend off from Dirt Late Model competition.  They are scheduled to return to action on Friday night, May 13 at the 34 Raceway in West Burlington, Iowa.  The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will roll into Burlington to sanction a $10,000 to win affair.  You can view Billy’s upcoming schedule by clicking on www.billymoyer.com.
