Lebanon MidwayLebanon,Mo.-Last week Lebanon’s Tommy McBride almost grabbed his first modified win ever, but a late caution cost McBride a chance at the win. With McBride out of town worknig this weekend, the team called MARS SuperLateModel Driver Tony Jackson Jr in to fill-in the seat to see what the car needed. The end result was the car needed nothing as Jackson Jr came away in another exciting Aaron’s Modified feature event as lapped traffic allowed a hard charging Shawn Strong to come from the 11th starting spot and catch the flying Jackson in the last 2 laps as Jackson took his first victory of the season Friday night at the LebanonMidwaySpeedway.

The start of the Modified feature saw current point leader Michael Stake get the jump on Jackson Jr only to see the race restart as rookie driver Michael Bryson spun on the opening lap in turn 2.On the restart,Jackson got the jump as Stake moved to the top groove and followed closely behind with Ryan Edde and JC Newell battling.By lap 4,Strong last weeks winner had charged up to the third place spot and was coming quickly. With Jackson Jr setting a fast pace, lapped traffic began to play in the feature outcome.Jackson a 2 time Midway track champion, showed alot of patience as cars were battling for position themselves as Strong was closing up on Jackson Jr.By lap 13,Strong had closed-up to within 5 cars of Jackson as the MARS LateModel driver was carefully picking his spots. With the checkered in sight,Jackson grabbed a 2 car legnth victory over Strong with point leader Michael Stake,Ryan edde and JC Newell completing the top 5.

Central Bank FactoryStock action provided again outstanding racing and some last lap action deciding the outcome.Last season’s points runner-up Ben solberg making his first start of the season grabbed the opening lead with former champion Bob Gustin following.Another Subsitute driver tonight,Mark Simon of Buffalo was filling in for Josh Franklin in the Waterman Trucking car and by lap 3 had moved around Gustin for second place.Back in the pack, point leader Sundance Keepper and James Flood were picking their way through the field from row 6.Up front Solberg was setting a fast smooth pace as Simon began to close-up quickly while donnei Miller, defending champion Tyson Troutman and others battled. With Simon applying pressure to Solberg,Keepper put his car into third place by lap 9 almost a straightaway behind the lead duo.The only caution of the feature waved on lap 12 when Solberg who was into lapped traffic, slid sideways in turn 4 as traffic moved to the upper part of the turn.Simon tried to pick through the small hole in turn 4 but suffered damage ending his night. This put Keepper in the top spot with Flood,Miller,Gustin,Troutman and others packed-up.On the restart,Flood went upstairs as Keepper stayed in the middle lane. For the last 2 lap,Kepper began to pull away from early season point leader Flood and took his 5th win of the season and 4th in a row as Flood,Troutman,Miller and a fast moving Solberg in the top 5.

Another Subsitute driver tonight had an outstanding run in the Energy Company PureStocks as Rob White was behind the wheel in point leaders Kory Barker’s car.Matt Young grabbed the opening lead with Kolt Barker close behind.White who started second row tonight pulled even with Young on lap 3 and the duo raced side-by side.On lap  7 White grabbed the lead over Young after a great race and took his first win of the season with point contender Young,Robert Doublin,Kolt Barker and Jason Brumley in the top 5.Attrition took a small toll tonight as front runners Monk Bark and Shory Doublin, and Doug Phleps had problems ending thier night early.

Veteran Earl Muilenburg of Sparta celebrated his Birthday early tonight as the Ageless wonder took the opening lead in the Rocky Ridge Construction Midwest Modz feature and withstood several challanges from 5 different drivers to take his third win of the season.Early in the feature it was Bill Joiner in the hunt for the lead.On lap 4 a pack of 5 different drivers were bumper to bumper including last weeks winner Rich Reynolds,Sam Petty current point leader Little JC Newell and a fast moving Jamie Petty. On lap 9,Petty moved around Reynolds to take over second place as caution flew while Newell’s Car came to a halt with no power. On the restart,Muilenburg kept that lead as Reynolds moved back into second place as Sam Petty began to fade back.Reynolds tried another last lap last turn pass for the win,but it was Muilenburg holding on for the victory as Reynolds,Jamie Petty,Joiner and Brian Warner in the top 5.

Transport Graphics StreetStock action was fast and wild tonight as Brandon Waters grabbed the opening lead with points runner-up Trevor Ellingson and Josh Lewis following. On lap 2,the race was red-flagged as point leader Joe Francis made contact with the backstretch wall in a 3 wide battle. On the restart,Waters kept the top spot as last weeks winner Mark Simon had moved from 11th to take over second place.By lap 4,Simon moved around Waters to take the lead as Rodney Yost was charging and Keith Cheever was mixing it up also.As the feature stayed Green,Simon began to pull away as Yost making a good run tonight started to close-up the gap while Waters,Cheever and Ellingson followed.Simon powered away to take his 3rd win of the season with a great showing tonight by Yost with early leader Waters,Keith Cheever and Ellingson following.

Action continues Next Friday night as the StreetStock compete in a special paying race along with the points battles for the Aaron’s Modifieds,Central Bank FactoryStocks,Energy Company PureStocks and Rocky Ridge Construction Midwest Modz.
