Pevely, MO (July 9th, 2011) Randy Korte wrestled the lead from Mark Voigt just past the half way point of the twenty five lap main event and went on to take his first win of 2011 at I-55 Raceway in the UMP DIRTcar Late Model division. Voigt jumped out front at the drop of the green flag and paced the field while Jeff Johns and Randy Korte battled for the second spot. Korte would finally work his way clear of Johns and proceed to reel in Voigt as they fought through lapped traffic. The feature would go all twenty-five laps caution free. Rickey Frankel would move up and finish in the fourth spot while Chad Stapleton (who was making his first ever appearance at I-55 Raceway) would round out the top five.

Tim Hancock claimed the UMP DIRTcar Modified feature event, but just barely. Hancock’s engine would went up in smoke coming out of turn four to take the checkered flag. Hancock would have enough momentum to reach the checkered flag first and lead all twenty laps of the main event. Josh Russell was all over his rear bumper for almost the entire distance but couldn’t get past Hancock’s machine before the finish line and would settle for second. Bobby Bittle would finish in the third spot and he battled with Rick Conoyer all race long. Conoyer would come home fourth while Steve Maisel rounded out the top five. Ray Walsh, who had mechanical problems and didn’t start his heat race, charged from the twenty-fifth starting spot to finish sixth.

Jeff Herzog claimed yet another win in the UMP DIRTcar/AARA Sportsman feature event. Herzog worked his way past early leader Trey Harris with five laps remaining and went on to the claim the win. Brad Paquet made a late race charge and moved up several spots in the closing laps to finish second. Harris would take the third spot while Troy Naeger would get fourth and Jason Keller fifth.

Earl Pryor would hold off Jacob Rexing to win the UMP DIRTcar/AARA Pro 4 Stock main event.
