ASCS - American Sprint Car SeriesLonnie Wheatley, CAMERON, Mo. (July 15, 2011) – Brad Loyet picked up his second ASCS Regional feature win by racing to victory lane in Friday night’s 25-lap event pitting the Speedway Motors ASCS Midwest and Warrior Regions versus one another atop the high-banked, 3/8-mile U.S. 36 Raceway clay oval.

Loyet, sitting atop Speedway Motors ASCS Warrior points in his rookie Sprint Car campaign, battled past Midwest points leader Jack Dover in traffic at the midway point en route to the triumph aboard the Don Ott-powered Loyet Landscape/Vacuworx International No. 05 Maxim.

While Loyet used traffic to his advantage to race by on the high side, Dover battled back and was challenging for the lead only to run afoul of a car trying to exit the track with five laps to go.  While Dover was able to continue in second, nose wing damage dampened his charge for the top spot.

Loyet went on to take the checkered flag in front of Dover, with Jonathan Cornell climbing from the seventh starting position to claim the show position.  Jordan Boston and Jay Russell both climbed six positions to snare fourth and fifth, respectively.

Cody Baker was sixth, with 13th-starter Kyle Bellm, Randy Hibbs, Jon Agan and 17th-starter Austin Alumbaugh completing the top ten.

The feature got off to a rough start with Bronson Maeschen tumbling off the top of turn two with Zach Davis also encountering race-ending trouble.  Another caution flew after a lap for Billy Alley, with the red flag flying again after 14 circuits when Mark Shirshekan flipped in turn two.

Randy Hibbs, Baker, Shirshekan and Dover topped heat race action, with Bryan Gossel winning the “B” Main.
