Pevely, MO (July 16th, 2011) TIm Manville outdueled Mark Voigt and Mark Miner to claim his second UMP DIRTcar Late Model feature win of 2011 at I-55 Raceway! Manville, Voigt and Miner battled for the lead the entire twenty-five laps that went green to checkered without a caution. Manville used the highside to pace the pack while Voigt stayed right in his tracks and Miner worked the low side. As the trio got into lapped traffic, they really started dicing around for the lead, often going three-wide as they battled for the top spot. The three reach heavy lapped traffic with three laps remaining, allowing Jeff Johns to make it a four car battle for the lead. Manville would work the traffic flawlessly and would get the win. Voigt would just edge Miner for the second spot while Johns finished fourth behind Miner. Randy Korte rounded out the top five.

Ray Walsh got the lead from Ricky Horton on lap five and held off Tim Hancock and then Jeff LeBaube to claim the UMP DIRTcar Modified win. Walsh would dominate most of the event, but several cautions would allow Hancock to mount a challenge before Walsh would pull away. Jeff LeBaube would work his way past Hancock for the second spot and then get his chance to challenge Walsh for the lead after a late race caution. Walsh would power his way to the win with LeBaube taking second and Hancock third. Horton would take fourth with Conrad Miner taking fifth.

The UMP DIRTcar/AARA Sportsman division provided a great battle at the front with five and sometimes six cars battling near the front. Jason Keller led much of the event with Jon Ripperda right on his bumper. Troy Naeger would find a fast line around the high side and power his way into the lead near the half way point. Naeger’s lead would be short lived as mechanical problems would sideline him a couple of laps later. Jeff Herzog and Brad Paquet moved in on Keller and Ripperda in a four car battle for the lead. Paquet would power his way into the lead and bring Ripperda along with him past Keller. Herzog would also slip past Keller and then get by Ripperda with two lap remaining. However, Paquet was too strong and held off his challenge to take the win. Herzog would get second, Ripperda third and Keller fourth. Trey Harris rounded out the top five.

Earl Pryor out battled Aron Faulkner to claim the UMP DIRTcar/AARA Pro 4 Stock main event.
