$2000 to win ASCS Warrior Region Sprint Cars!!!!
Kyle and Carol Wirts, owners and promoters of Double X Speedway, in conjunction with Roy Wood, are extremely pleased to announce that the 9th annual Clyde Wood Memorial Race will be held next Sunday, July 24th, 2011 and will be sanctioned by the ASCS Warrior Region and will award $2000 to the winner of the ASCS Feature Event. In addition to the ASCS Warrior Region Sprints, the 600cc Micro Sprints, Street Stocks and Hobby Stocks will also be in competition at the well known ¼ mile raceway.
The race has been held annually to honor the memory of Clyde Wood, a long time flagman at many tracks in Missouri. Clyde was a flagman at Double X, Capital Speedway, Callaway Raceways, State Fair Motor Speedway, Saline County Speedway and many other venues. Each year the event continues to be a highlight of the season at Double X, and the 9th annual will be no exception.
Double X Speedway is a ¼ mile semi banked clay oval located west of California, MO on the south side of highway 50. General Admission seating opens at 5PM. Admission is $15 and pit passes are $25. For more information call (573) 796-4694 or check out www.xxspeedway.com.
