Lucas Oil Late Model SeriesBatesville, Arkansas (08/16/11) –  With a brand new car freshly assembled, Billy Moyer Jr. is set to take his #21jr Henderson Motorsports/Car City/Imperial Motors/Victory Circle M1 Chassis By Moyer/Pro Power Racing Engine Super Late Model into battle this weekend in the 19th Annual COMP Cams Topless 100.

The team intended to enter a pair of COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) Super Late Model events over the course of last weekend, but Mother Nature had other ideas as she cut the weekend in half with a rainout at Beebe Speedway (Beebe, Arkansas) on Friday night.

As a result, Billy entered a single event over the weekend as he traveled to West Plains Motor Speedway (West Plains, Missouri) on Saturday night for a $3,000-to-win, CCSDS Vs. MARS Super Late Model event.  With 33 Super Late Models entered, Moyer Jr. charged from his third starting spot to win his heat, which earned him the JFR Graphics Pole Award for the 40 lap feature event with his Dad, Billy Moyer starting to his outside.  The Father-Son combo would battle for the lead on the first lap with the elder Moyer narrowly edging Moyer Jr. to lead lap one.  After that point Moyer would establish his dominance at the lead and went on to claim the win as Billy Moyer Jr. finished a strong second in a brand new car that he has assembled for the upcoming weekend’s Topless 100.  Full results are available at www.COMPDirt.com.

This weekend, August 18th-20th, Billy will head into battle in the 19th Annual COMP Cams Topless 100 as he looks for redemption from narrowly missing the starting grid for the event in 2010.  The $40,000-to-win/$2,000-to-start, Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series Event gets underway on Thursday night with an Open Practice Session.  Friday night will be headlined by time trials and heat race action, while Saturday’s program will be highlighted by b-main action and the 100 lap finale.  For more information, please visit www.BatesvilleMotorSpeedway.net and www.LucasDirt.com .

Billy has brand new shirts available that can be viewed and purchased via his website at www.BillyMoyerJr.com or by visiting the team hauler at one of the upcoming weekend’s events.
