Lebanon-I-44-Speedway(LEBANON, Missouri)  A continuation of the season-long championship points clash among top Late Model drivers, and the inaugural ‘Cookin’ From Scratch Burnout Extravaganza, will highlight the ASA-sanctioned stock car racing show this Saturday night, August 20, at Lebanon I-44 Speedway.  Spectator gates will swing open at 5:00 pm, with the five-division stock car racing program scheduled to start at 7:30 on the track’s 3/8-mile high banked asphalt oval.

“No doubt our Late Model races have been incredibly close and entertaining all season long” said I-44 Speedway promoter Craig Armstrong.  “The fact that we have had so many winners in our Monster Energy Victory Lane, including track and national ASA championship points leader Chrissy Wallace and 15-year old rising star Cole Williams, along with so many other Late Model standouts, is a tribute to the quality of racing entertainment at I-44 Speedway.  Couple that with the first annual ‘Cookin’ From Scratch Burnout Extravaganza’, and you have an unbeatable combination for race fans this Saturday night!”

The ‘Burnout’ competition will involve a maximum of 24 entrants who sign up at Cookin’ From Scratch, located right off Interstate 44 at Exit 179 in Doolittle.  All entrants will receive free pit passes for themselves and a guest, plus a Cookin’ From Scratch gift certificate and a chance to burnout in front of the audience, competing for additional gift certificates and cash prizes, including $250 for first place.  There is no charge to sign up, but the deadline to enter is 5 pm on Friday, August 19.

Headlined by the fast and powerful ASA Late Model stock cars, Saturday’s show at the only paved oval track in Missouri will also spotlight the Modifieds, which are stock appearing racecars with open wheel front ends, the full-size Sportsman class stock cars, Road Warriors – big, steel bodied ‘pure stocks’ – and a four-cylinder subcompact class of cars called Chargers.  In addition to the I-44 Speedway classes, the travelling Outlaw Mini Stocks – ever a fan favorite – will make their eighth 2011 appearance at the Laclede County oval.

Lebanon I-44 Speedway features an alcohol-free, ‘family friendly’ grandstand, along with tier parking for cars, pickup trucks and RV’s where patrons may park, tailgate and view the races.  Widely known as the ‘Budweiser Wild Side’, beer may be brought in by fans in the tier parking areas, while full food and non-alcoholic beverage concessions are available in both the grandstands and tier parking, along with a Souvenir and track apparel booth.

Grandstand admission is $10 for Adults, ages 16 and older, while Adult admission in tier parking is $12.  Discounted admission for Seniors (ages 65 and older), Military personnel, and Juniors (ages 11-15) is offered in both locations.  A grandstand Family Pass for 2 Adults and 2 Juniors plus any number of Kids 10 and younger is available for $25, while six Adults entering in the same vehicle on tier parking will be admitted on the ‘Budweiser Wild Side’ for $60.

Located just four miles east of the Lebanon city limit on Historic Route 66, Lebanon I-44 Speedway is very accessible from anywhere in southern Missouri.  The simplest route for patrons is driving on Interstate 44 to Exit 135, and then one mile west on Route 66 to the facility’s main entrance.  Additional information about the track’s 2011 ‘Kickin’ Asphalt’ racing schedule, racecar construction rules and championship points may be found of the facility’s official website, www.i44speedway.net.
