Springfield RacewaySpringfield,Mo.-The Transport Graphics 2011 Season Chase for the Title of the Quick-Quarter of the Springfield Raceway is coming down to the wire as only 2 weeks of points racing remains before the Speedway goes into those SuperSpecial events of the season.

Total High Speed Wireless will be the title sponsor for the nights activities as 5 exciting classes do battle Saturday night with the USRA Modifieds,B-Mods,Legends,Midwest Modz and PureStocks do battle on the high banks.Total high speed wireless provided wireless internet service to the rural residents of the Ozarks that can’t get standard DSL or Cable Service.

4-time USRA Modified Track Champion Jackie Dalton of Carthage heads-up a very talented field of A-Mods and coming off a feature win last weekend in the Rob Burgess Tribute still is on top of the track point standings with a 85 point lead over SpringfieldRaceway’s hometown hard charging Erik Maggard with only 2 track point races left.Dalton currently stands 10th in the USRA National standing heading into the weekend events.Maggard,is only 25 markers ahead of defending champion Mitch Keeter while Jody Tillman and Brian Green remain in the top 5.The USRA Modified competition at Springfield is as tough as anywhere around.

The tightest battle right now is with the B-Mods as Bobby Maggard Jr and JC Morton find themselves only 2 points apart while Willard’s Gary Rodocker, defending champion Wayne Graybeal and 2nd half point leader Scott Drake complete the top 5.Good finishes in your heats will be important to these drivers as well as the feature events.

Coming off a big win last weekend,Midwest Modz point leader Trevor Drake has stretched out the lead in this exciting class of cars.Drake has pretty much clinched the title leaving the field to battle it out for second place as Sam Petty of Niangua now finds Gary Krebs of Clever closing in quickly in the battle for second place.Rusty Forrest,Gentlman Randy Belk and Young Oklahoma driver Matthew Thulin are al fighting for the runner-up spot.THis class in only its second season is currently averaging over 20 entries per race night.

Legends veteran Dave Comer of Joplin has opened up a 63 point lead over defending track champion and son Justin Comer while veteran Wayne Johnston of Rolla has moved into third slowly.Johnston has had a streak of bad luck the last few weeks but is always in the hunt for a win.Early season point leader Park Jones sold his car and is trying to get the finishing touches on a new ride while Springfield’s Jay Reynolds completes a tough top 5.

Jack Hamer of Ava sets on top of the PureStock standings with a 43 point lead over Oklahoma’s Wayne Morris.Hamer the StreetStock champion last season at SpringfieldRaceway has found the competition tougher each week as drivers seem to be hitting their stride late in the season.

Grandstand gates open at 5PM with hotlaps starting at 6:30 and Racing at 7:15.Adult admission is only $10
