Pevely, MO (September 3rd, 2011) I-55 Raceway dodged the rain and had a packed house for the Fan Appreciation Night and Kids Nickel Race.

Randy Korte of Highland, Illinois dominated the UMP DIRTcar Late Model main event and claimed his second win of 2011 at I-55 Raceway. As Korte paced the field by a comfortable margin, second place would have a three car battle raging for most of the event. Michael Kloos, Dave Jumper and Rickey Frankel would fight hard for the second spot until Kloos would gain control of it around lap twenty and hang on for a second place finish. Jumper would beat Frankel to the line to finish third. Mark Miner would finish fifth behind Frankel.

It appeared that Mark Miner was going to dominate the UMP DIRTcar Modified main event. Miner opened up a small lead while Tim Hancock and Michael Long battled for the second spot for most of the event. Hancock and Long would close in on Miner for the lead in the closing laps. For the final three laps, Hancock would get a great run exiting turn two only to have Miner shut the door down the back stretch. On the final lap, Hancock would get another great run exiting turn two and would dive to the bottom under Miner going into turn three. Hancock would make it stick and outrun Miner out of turn four to the checkered flag. Long would finish just a half car length behind Miner for the third spot. Scott Weber made a late race charge to the front to finish in the fourth spot. Josh Russell would round out the top five.

Jeff Herzog would power past pole sitter Trey Harris at about the half way point enroute to winning his seventh UMP DIRTcar/AARA Sportsman feature event of 2011 at I-55 Raceway. Herzog would then have to hold off a late race charge from Jon Ripperda and Trey Harris in the closing laps to seal the win. Ripperda went to the high side and roared towards the front. Herzog would move up in front of Ripperda and take his line away with three laps to go and hold on for the win. Ripperda and Harris would race side by side the final two laps as they fought with Herzog for the lead. Harris would edge Ripperda at the line for second with Ripperda taking third. Brad Paquet would get fourth and Troy Naeger fifth.

Earl Pryor claimed his fourth UMP DIRTcar/AARA Pro 4 Stock main event win of 2011 at I-55 Raceway. Pryor would have to hold off Rodney George in the closing laps to get the win. George would take second with Mike McGinnitey taking third. Aron Faulkner would finish fourth. Sage Thornhill would cross the finish line third, but would be penalized two spots for jumping the restart and was scored in the fifth spot.
