Lebanon,Mo.-With the stretch drive for the Central Bank Racing Series Championship Chase,Racing action again finds Friday Night under the lights at the LebanonMidwaySpeedway as kids bike races help to highlight another outstanding night of Racing action.With only 3 point races left and the Fall Brawl coming up in October,race teams have been trying different things to find the fast way around the Midway Dirt track oval.
Heading into this weekend’s action,defending FactoryStock Champion Tyson Troutman holds a 120 point lead leaving the battle for the runner-up spot between rookie Shawn Whitman and Donnie Miller while the FactoryStock class still keeps the crowd on the edge of their seats all night long.
Defending Modified Champion Michael Stake saw his lead over JC Newell shrink down to 58 points as Stake suffered problems last week in a borrowed car.Shawn Strong and Kris Jackson have climbed forward as this two drivers have the most Modified feature wins between them this season while consistant running Bill Schaar completes the top 5.
The PureStock class has Matt Young still holding a slim 12 point lead over defending champion Kory Barker.Young, a second season driver is still looking for the winner’s circle this season but is always in the hunt up front.
Defending StreetStock champion Joe Francis has saw his lead down to 31 points over Trevor Ellingson while Brandon Waters is only 6 behind Ellingson while the battles for the win is getting tougher as Mark Simon and former champion Brandon Knudtson have added to the race up front along with Rodney Yost.
Defending Midwest Modz Champion Little JC Newell has found a new runner-up chasing him as Sam Petty’s victory last Friday night moved him into the second place spot 1 point over Rich Reynolds.Petty who finished second in the SpringfieldRaceway Midwest Modz points is only 48 markers behind the defending champion.
Kids bike Races for the kids 10 and under always provides a great time for the family as the kids get their chance to compete on the racetrack.
Grandstand Gates open at 5:30 with Hotlaps starting at 7:05 and Racing at 8PM in all 5 classes.
