Springfield,Mo.- Springfield Raceway Owners Jerry Hoffman and Doug Bland have announced today that the Quick-Quarter will sanction for USRA National Points both the Larry Phillips Memorial on October 1st and the High-paying Bordertown Casino OctoberFast on Sat October 15th.

The Phillips Race which was rained-out last Sat has a tenative raindate of Sat October 1st while the season’s best paying event,The Octoberfast event will give drivers chasing USRA National Modified points 1 last shot before the chase ends on October 16th.

The Phillips race will only pay $500 top win with $100 to start while the final numbers for the Bordertown Casino event are being finalized.Last year the Bordertown Octoberfast event paid $1111 to win and $275 to start and looks to even do better this season.Webb City driver Scott Drake and Jody tillman battled door to door for the final 9 laps before Drake was able to capture a hard-earned victory over a field of 32 plus A-Mods.

The Octoberfast event is just 1 week before the high-paying Modified Nationals at Humbolt Speedway and with the USRA Sanction in place,this should even draw more cars than normal.
