Pevely, MO (October 1st, 2011) – Robbie Eilers of Highland, Illinois grabbed the win at the 10th Annual Bud Pohle Memorial Sportsman Fall Dirt Nationals at I-55 Raceway and earned $7,000 in doing so. Jon Ripperda grabbed the early lead from his front row pole starting spot and paced the first five laps of the fifty lap event. Robbie Eilers would then take over the lead and would hold off the fierce challenges of Jeff Herzog for the next 45 laps enroute to the win. Herzog, who earned his fourth consecutive UMP/AARA Sportsman Championship at I-55 Raceway in 2011, chased Eilers throughout the event and pulled alongside Eilers for the lead on several occassions as the two worked heavy lapped traffic. Eilers, who was piloting the only car in the field powered by AARA’s sealed GM 602 crate engine, earned his first victory in 2011 at I-55 Raceway. Troy Naeger had charged through the field and was challenging Eilers and Herzog late in the race before mechanical problems sidelined him with just a few laps remaining. Trey Harris, Brad Paquet and Troy Medley battled fiercly with each other through out the event as they traded slide jobs and passes throughout the fifty lap event. In the end, Harris would finish in third with Paquet getting fourth and Medley fifth.

Danny Ems rocketed through the field after starting seventh in the UMP/AARA Factory Stock main event to take the lead on lap two and he would pace the field for the remainder of the twenty lap event. Ems would claim $1,200 for the victory. Josh Jackson would stay close to Ems thoughout the event but could only get within a couple of car lengths for the top spot and would settle for a second place finish. T.J. Eilers would finish a close third with Scott Ponder taking fourth. Jeff Buss would overcome some early mechanical issues and rally to a fifth place finish.

Jacob Rexing paced all twenty laps of the UMP/AARA Pro 4 Stock main event to earn the $800 victory. Dayton Racer and Vincent Shehorn would challenge Rexing for most of the event. Shehorn would suffer a mechanical problem late in the race and fail to finish the event. A late race charge by Indiana racer Derek Sander would have him challenging Dayton Racer and Jacob Rexing in the closing laps. Rexing would hold off all challenges and get the win. Racer would take the second spot with Sander claiming third. Bryan Wright would get fourth and Trevor Isaak would round out the top five.
