Lebanon MidwayLebanon,Mo.-The LebanonMidwaySpeedway concluded the 2011 season Sat night with the running of the Fall Brawl as over 100 race teams competed in this weekends action.

Sat night featured the return of the A-Mods as Lebanon’s Jamie Ragland set fast time it a lap of 14.04 seconds. The start of the 20 lap feature found defending champion Jason Pursley and Justin Neuman bringing the field down to the green flag as Pursley grabbed the early lead with Neuman, former B-Mod champion Mickey Burrell,Shawn Nations and Robbie Bryant following. With a fast pace feature,Pursley was glued to the bottom of the track as Burrell moved into second place on lap 3.The following lap,Pursley would find Burrell applying pressure as the duo went wheel to wheel as Neuman would find Nations giving him a chase. After 3 laps of close action,Burrell wold grab the top spot on lap 7 as Pursley settled-in to set close behind. On lap 17,the first caution flew as Jerry Lankton looped in turn 2 bunching everyone up.Burrell would lead the double file restart field to the green as Nations was making up some ground on the top side and overtaking Neuman for third place. The yellow flew 1 lap later as a three car bunch-up in turn 1 brought everyone closer together again.Burrell shot to the front again but Pursley seemed to have something left for the leader as the cars of Nations and Neuman were going at it as Robbie Bryant was closing quickly. As Burrell took the white flag leading Nations passed Pursley for second only to see Pursley get back the spot in turn 2 and closed quickly on Burrell going into turn 3.Burell got a good run out of turn 4 and kept Pursley at bay to grab the win with Pursley,Neuman,Nations and Bryant completing the top 5.

The FactoryStocks kept the crowd on their feet most all night as the 23 car field took the Green with Sundance Keepper grabbing the opening lead over pole setter Derek Brown as Brian Schutt and Dylan Keepper kept at bay. With action 2-3 wide all over the track, the first caution waved on lap 4 as Richard Avery slowed with overheating problems bunching the field-up.Just as caution waved, leader Keepper slowed up high in turn 4 with problems and ducked into the pits. This placed Derek Brown in the top spot with Schutt,D Keepper,Steve Morton and Ben Solberg in the top 5.Green flag action flew as Schutt gave chase to brown as Solberg now joined the front pack forward as all eyes were on Sundance Keepper as he was trying to come through the large field.THe Caution waved on lap 11 for debris as alittle attrition was taking its toll. With Brown leading, the real battle on the restarts were between Dylan Keepper and Solberg with Schutt in the hunt also.Caution waved again on lap 14 as the field bunched-up with Brown leading followed by D Keepper,Solberg,Steve Morton and a fast moving Sundance Keepper.Point champion Tyson Troutman pulled in with a falt on lap 14 after a top 7 run most of the feature ending his chances. On the restart again Dylan Keepper,Solberg and Morton were battling.Sundance Keeppers chances fell out on lap 18 as he pulled in with problems.Brown pulled away leaving Dylan Keepper to fend off the race for second as Solberg and Morton were exchanging spots.Brown grabbed the win with D Keepper,Solberg,Morton and a fast moving Bradley McDowell in the top 5 as Ray Smith had charged from 22nd starting spot to finish sixth as 15 cars finished on the lead lap.

The B-Mod feature was all Kris Jackson this weekend as he made it a clean sweep winning his heat, dash and the 20 lap feature.Jackson shot to the lead from his pole spot on the opening lap from Shawn Strong and survived 4 cautions along with a mid race charge by Strong in capturing his biggest payday.Track champion and defending event winner Michael Stake looked into third place after a race long battle with Scott Drake and Tyler Brown as Burl Woods made his Modified debut in a sixth place finish after a long battle with Brown.Jackson who captured the second most wins at Midway this season was running a borrowed motor from Brian Myers race team after he had issues last weekend.

The Purestock feature brought a dramatic win and a first time Midway winner as Matt Darnell took advantage of leader Kolt Barker’s flat tire and survived a last lap shootout in grabbing his biggest payday ever.Kolt Barker had grabbed the opening lead and looked untouchable until lap 13 when he began to slow-up.Darnell had been in a race long battle with point champion Matt young for second palce as Tyler Schoen had began his forward movement to the front. An Opening lap crash eliminated defending event winner Kory Barker and Monk Barker. With Darnell leading the last lap,Young had made a hard move to overtake the Buffalo driver as rookie Chad Hufft had his strongest showing of the season and was gaining late in the race.Darnel withstood Young’s attempt to take the win as Young,Schoen,Hufft and JR Aitken completed the top 5.

The StreetStock feature had plenty of action all night.Point champion Joe Francis grabbed the opening lead from Melvin Smith as Smith almost looped it in turn 2 in front of the pack.On lap 2,Top runners Trevor Ellingson,Mark Simon, defending champion Brandon Knudtson and Richard Adams all collected in turn 2.On the restart,Francis and Smith made contact with both going to the rear of the field. This placed Rodney Yost in the lead with Kevin Forshey in second place.During the green flag run,Yost kept moving away as Trevor Ellingson and Melvin Smith were picking their way through the pack.On lap 6,Smith overtook Forshey for second place as Yost was hanging on to the lead.During a lap 10 caution,Yost pulled into the pits with power steering problems putting Smith in the lead with Mark Simon the speedway’s winningest driver on his bumper. For the next 3 laps Simon made challanges to Smith but on the last lap Smith got a great run off turn 2 to pull away and grab the win.Simon,Ellingson,Zack Zuegin and Richard Adams completed the top 5.

The Midwest Modz feature went 15 laps caution free as defending champion JC Newell and Trevor Drake brought the field to the green flag.Side by side they raced as Newell would just kept ahead of Drake. On lap 5,Drake made the winning pass on the backstretch to inch ahead of Newell as the battle for third was tight as 10th place starter Sam Petty was charging hard to catch Bennie Joiner.Up front Drake would find Newell attempt several moves fro the lead, but Drake with stood the challanges for the win with Newell,Joiner,Bobby gough and Petty completing the top 5.
