ASCS Warrior Scheduled Released

ASCS - American Sprint Car SeriesLonnie Wheatley, TULSA, Okla. (January 31, 2012) – The 2012 schedule of events for the Speedway Motors ASCS Warrior Region has been released as the Missouri-based Regional tour gears up for its second year of action under the American Sprint Car Series banner.

The ASCS Warrior Region is currently slated for 24 nights of competition at nine different tracks throughout the Missouri area with several other dates yet to be determined.

Valley Speedway in Grain Valley, MO, near Kansas City will bookend the tour, hosting the series season opener on April 13 and the season finale on October 19.

Other tracks already set to host the ASCS Warrior Region in 2012 include U.S. 36 Raceway (Cameron, MO), LA Raceway (La Monte, MO), Lucas Oil Speedway (Wheatland, MO), Springfield Raceway (Springfield, MO), Lakeside Speedway (Kansas City, KS), Lake Ozark Speedway (Eldon, MO), Double X Speedway (California, MO) and the historic Missouri State Fair Speedway (Sedalia, MO).

Along the way, the ASCS Warriors will mix it up with the Lucas Oil ASCS presented by K&N Filters National series on a handful of occasions while also tangling with the Speedway Motors ASCS Midwest Region on three additional occasions at U.S. 36 and the American Bank of Oklahoma ASCS Sooner Region once at Springfield.

The 2012 season marks the 21st year of sanctioning Sprint Car racing for the American Sprint Car Series, which brings the best of Sprint Car racing to dozens of different tracks throughout the nation and into Canada. Anchored by the Lucas Oil Sprint Car Series presented by K&N Filters, ASCS also consists of ten different Regions throughout the nation.
