Chili Bowl to be aired on CBS

Chili BowlBryan Hulbert – Tulsa, Okla (February 17, 2012) – The date and time has been released for the showing of the 26th annual Lucas Oil Chili Bowl Nationals presented by General Tire.

According to a schedule released by Lucas Oil Productions the broadcast will be aired on April 14, 2012 at 3:00pm CST. The broadcast will be carried by CBS and it’s nearly 200 affiliates across the United States. The 26th annual Lucas Oil Chili Bowl Nationals presented by General Tire was originally scheduled to air in January on the CBS Sports Network which is broadcast on DirecTV and Dish Network. During the taping of the Chili Bowl however a decision was reached to allow the Chili Bowl to be aired nationwide across all formats on CBS. This marks the first time the Chili Bowl will be aired on one of the “Big Three” television networks.

The Lucas Oil Chili Bowl Nationals is held every year in the first weeks of January inside the QuikTrip Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Dates for the 2013 event will be January 8-12. Ticket renewals for the 27th annual Lucas Oil Chili Bowl Nationals presented by General Tire begin March 1, 2012.
