$10,000 to Win Lucas Oil Late Models Invade LoneStar March 31

Lucas Oil Late Model Series at Lone Star Motor Speedway FlyerKilgore TX (3/9/12) by DarinShort.com. The only 2012 scheduled Texas appearance of the Lucas Oil Late Model Series will invade LoneStar Speedway (LSS) in Kilgore Texas with the running of the High Banks Havoc on Saturday, March 31st. The winner of the 50 lap feature race will take home a cool $10,000.

Scott Bloomquist will be on hand to attempt a repeat performance after winning at LSS in 2011. However, a full field of Lucas Oil Late Model Series stars will be gunning for the top bragging rights this year, including: Don O’Neal, Earl Pearson, Jr., Eric Wells, Jared Landers, Jimmy Owens, Ray Cook, Steve Francis, John Blankenship, Austin Hubbard, Jonathan Davenport, Terry Casey and young Californian hot shoe, Tyler Reddick. Plus, you can expect a strong contingent of late model drivers from throughout the region doing their best to make sure the $10,000 top prize stays local.

In addition to the Lucas Oil Late Model Series, a complete program of Modified (paying $1,000 to win), Limited Modified ($500 to win) and Factory Stocks ($300 to win) will compete. Their purse and rules are located at the track website. The Late Model feature is scheduled to be the second feature race of the night.

Here are some quick facts for the event:

-Grandstands open at 4pm, Autograph Session 4:30-5pm, Hot Laps at 5:45pm, Late Model group Time Trials at 6:15pm & Racing to Follow.
-Pits open at Noon.
-General Admission just $20 (ages 12 and older). Tickets available at the gate on race day only.
-Kids (ages 6-11) just $5
-Ages 5 and under admitted free with adult admission
-Military or Seniors (Ages 65+) General Admission $18
-Upgrade any ticket to the Reserved Section (bucket seats) for $5 per person
-All Pit Passes $35
-No outside food/drink coolers are allowed inside, a full selection of economically priced food concessions, including beer, are available.
