(April 14, 2012) Wheatland, MO – John Anderson emerged from his race car victorious following the Lucas Cattle Company A Feature Saturday night at Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, MO. His night started out well when he won his heat race. The passing points worked out to place him on the outside of row two for the feature.

Jesse Stovall was the polesitter and led the first two laps before a flat tire forced him to the pits. With a new left rear tire, Stovall rejoined the field in 23rd position and methodically picked off car after car up to second place. He then went to work on Anderson with two laps left. Matt Johnson stalled in turn two and brought out the final yellow of the evening. Stovall had two laps and got to Anderson before he shut the door going down the backstretch on the final lap.

Mike Collins hung around the front for the duration of the race and ultimately crossed the finish line 3rd. Prior to this evening Collins had recorded ninth and eleventh place finishes in Lucas Oil MLRA competition. This run will help keep him fifth in the standings.
