World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series At a Glance; Missouri State Fair Speedway, Tri-State Speedway

World of Outlaws Sprint Car SeriesSEDALIA, Mo. – April 16, 2012 – The World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series will make its season debut at a pair of historical facilities in the Midwest this weekend.

The Outlaws return to Missouri State Fair Speedway on Friday for the first time since 2010 and this time it’s under the banner of the Kasey Kahne Challenge – a four-race series in conjunction with SLS Promotions.

On Saturday, the World of Outlaws will compete at Tri-State Speedway in Haubstadt, Ind., where Craig Dollansky has won in every even year since 2006.

Sammy Swindell, who has five World of Outlaws wins at Tri-State Speedway – including last season – is the current points leader. Joey Saldana, who won the Outlaws last event, is only five points back with Donny Schatz in third – 12 points out of the lead.

WHEN

Friday, April 20, at Missouri State Fair Speedway in Sedalia, Mo., for Round 1 of the Kasey Kahne Challenge presented by Sage Fruit. Front gates are scheduled to open at 4 p.m. with hot laps set to begin at 6:30 p.m.

Saturday, April 21, at Tri-State Speedway in Haubstadt, Ind. Front gates are scheduled to open at 4 p.m. with qualifying set to begin at 6:30 p.m.

Missouri State Fair Speedway is a semi-banked, half-mile oval. The track record of 15.676 seconds was established by Craig Dollansky on March 23, 2001.

Tri-State Speedway is a high-banked, quarter-mile oval. The track record of 11.110 seconds was established by Sammy Swindell on Oct. 8, 2004.
