(Macon, IL) Macon Speedway present’s a powerhouse night of racing action this Saturday night, April 28th! The speedway will be featuring the combination of the POWRi and the National Badger Midgets associations in a co-sanctioned event along with the POWRi 600cc Outlaw Micros. The UMP Modifieds, Street Stocks, Pro and Amateur Hornets will also be in attendance for the adrenaline pumping action.
Brad Kuhn, the 2011 Badger Midget Champion, leads the early season POWRi points followed by Tyler Thomas and Tyler Courtney. Trent Beckinger, the 2011 POWRi Outlaw Micro champion faces off against the 2012 championship challenger Jacob Patton (Bethalto). Both will head up a stellar field for the group’s first appearance of the year at Macon Speedway. Jeremy Nichols, Guy Taylor and Jeff Curl are off to good 2012 starts in the ever exciting UMP Modifieds point race while Steve Ewing, Mike Pickering and Michael Pundt jr., all from Decatur, headline the UMP Street Stock division. The Hornet divisions, both Amatuer and Pro have had some great races this year at Macon Speedway. Brady Reed, Michael Gossett and Derek Peters in the Amateur division are locked in a dead heat for the top spot. In the Pro Hornet division Jeremy Reed, Brent Embry and Billy Justice in are locked in a dogfight for the top of the leader board.
This Saturday, April 28th the front gates open at 5 pm with racing at 7 pm. Adults are $15 with kids 11 and under Free with paying adult.
