Midway Speedway in Lebanon will be back in action on Sat night as the racing action and points battles remian tight.
Last week two new winners took their first wins of the season while several new front runners provided action.
The action will feature Factory Stocks,B Modifieds,Pure Stocks,Midwest Modifieds and Street Stocks heading for the 5th night of points competition with several locals drivers finding succss this season.
Brian Schutt of Lebanon and Cody Nivens of Fair Grove took home their first wins of the season while lady drivers Karla Lampe of Fair Grove almost pulled off the Street Stock feature only to get passed on the final lap by point leader Mark Simon while Sam Petty and Rob White found their way back into the winners circle.
Schutt now leads the Factory Stock points by only 2 points over Bob Gustin as Brandon Waters and Tim Petty battle behind in the standings.
Ted Ballinger despite being shut-out of victory lane so far has a 41 point lead over brother Tim Balinger in the B Modifieds as spots keep moving around among several drivers.Bill Schaar,DeWayne Hobbs and last weeks winner Nivens are very close to each other rounding out the top 5.
Lebanon’s Rob White climbs back in the number 1 spot in the Pure Stock standings by only 6 points with his win and strong heat race finishes while Larry Flaugher,Tyler Schoen and Bo Alexstates complete the top 5.
Mark Simon will attempt to kep his perfect streak alive in the Street Stock class.Simon who had problems in the Spring Fling has since won 4 straight in both features and heat races.Matt Darnell,Brandon Henderson,defending champion Joe Francis, and last weeks almost winner lady driver Karla Lampe round out the remaining top 5.Francis was absent last week and fell back in the standings
Sam Petty leads the Midwest Modified class but only by 10 points over consistant runner Travis Hill.Hill is still looking for his first win in this class as Petty has only lost 1 feature so far at Midway.Jamie Petty,Mark Raymond and rookie Billy Pearce complete the top 5 as the race for third is tight early this season.
Grandstand gates open at 5PM while practice starts at 6:30 with racing starting at 7:30 PM.
General admission for Adults is only $10 with kids prices 11-15 $5 and 10 and under Free
