Mars Racing Set to Tackle Inaugural Bad Boy 98 at Batesville Motor Speedway

Lucas Oil Late Model SeriesMENOMONIE, WI (May 12) – Jimmy Mars and his #28 team traveled down the road to the nearby Red Cedar Speedway in Menomonie, Wisconsin on Friday night, May 11 for a $1,000 to win weekly program. Jimmy won his heat race in preliminary action and later wound up seventh in the 20-lap feature event, which was contested on a predominantly one-groove racetrack. The Menomonie ace finished behind winner Steve Isenberg, A.J. Diemel, Cory Mahder, Mike Prochnow, Scott Gilberts, and Jake Redetzke. Next up for the Mars Racing team will be a trip south to the Batesville Motor Speedway in Locust Grove, Arkansas on May 17-19 for the inaugural running of the ‘Bad Boy 98.’ The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will preside over the huge weekend at the Batesville area speedplant, which will start with an open practice session on Thursday night. Qualifying and heat races will then be on the schedule for Friday evening, with the last chance races and the 98-lap feature event slated for Saturday. The winner of the ‘Bad Boy 98’ will receive $10,000 and a 2012 Chevy Camaro, while second place will bank a cool $20,000.
