Springfield,Mo.-The Springfield Raceway will be ready to go into round number 5 of the Transport Graphics Championship Chase along with remembering those who have fought for our countries freedoms with the 1st Annual Military Honor USRA Modified 25 along with a full show of Transport Graphics points events.
The Speedway will be allowing all active and retired Military personnel along with 1 guest in for free grandstand admission with ID for the action on the “Quick-Quarter”
The main event of the evening will be a 25 lap feature for the USRA Budweiser Modifieds with the winner receiving $800 and the event will pay $100 to start the feature.This will be a track points race and USRA Modified drivers will draw for starting heat race spots and use the passing point system to set the field.A special redraw of the top 8 cars will determine their starting spots in the feature.There will be a $25 car entry fee for this event for the USRA Modifieds.USRA rules apply at Springfield Raceway.
A new point leader sets on top of the USRA Track point standing as 2010 champion Mitch Keeter of Webb City is the new driver on top holding a slim 14 point margin over last weeks point leader john Yeoman.The standing really got tight after Yeoman pulled-in during the latter part of last weeks feature.
2 time winner Bobby Pearish has moved up to third only 19 behind Keeter while 5 time champion Jackie Dalton and brother Billy Dalton round out the top 5.
Scott Drake still heads-up the B-Mod point lead over Mike Hailman as former Midwest Modz champion Kaleb Copher sets in third place while last weeks winner Brandon Maggard and Andy Beauchamp complete the top 5.
Defending Midwest Modz champion Trevor Drake opens up a 18 point lead over Charlie Gentile as Taylor Moore is only 1 marker behind Gentile.Opening night winner Rusty Forrest and Todd McGregor round out the top 5.
Mike Hailman remains perfect in feature wins for the Legends as former champion Justin Comer and veteran Wayne Johnston battle for second place as young Caleb McDugle and Calvin Garner round out the top 5.With the talent in the Legends class a bad night can close up the gap quickly.
Defending Pure Stock champion Jack Hamer gets back on top with his second win of the season last week but finds 2 second year drivers on his bumper as Philip Schloesser is only 3 points behind the Ava hard charger and young Bret Testerman is only 6 behind.Rookie Tyler Thulin and Bolivar’s Darrell Storment round out your top 5.
Bryan Tillman’s second win puts him back in the top spot of the Street Stocks but only 2 points ahead of Springfield’s Jim Reid and 4 ahead of opening night winner Wayne Morris.Shawn Schmidt and Wayne Bysor round out the top 5 as car count get a little higher each week.
Nixa’s Wesley Smith took home win number 3 last week but Kylan Garner is only 12 behind in the Young Lions Legend Class as these kids under 16 keep the crowd guessing all night long.
Grandstand gates open at 5PM with hot laps at 6PM and Racing gets under way at 7PM for the Military Honor Night at the races.General Admission is only $12 for Adults with kids 6-12 only $5 and under 6 Free.
Pit gates open at 4PM while drivers meeting is slated for 5:40.Drivers check in time cuts off at 6:15.USRA Modified drivers who arrive at will receive no passing points and will start tailback in a heat.
