(BRIGHT, INDIANA) The “Silver Shark” Scott James visited victory lane for the third time in the 2012 racing season on Saturday night, May 19 at the Florence Speedway in Union, Kentucky! Scott ran third in his heat race to earn the outside second row starting spot for the main event. The Bright, Indiana standout then grabbed the lead around the lap ten mark of the A-Main and drove to the $1,500 triumph over Robby Hensley, David Spille, Terry Lanigan, and James Rice. Earlier in the weekend, Scott posted a strong third place performance in the $3,000 to win ADRA main event at the Moler Raceway Park in Williamsburg, Ohio behind only winner Jason Jameson and runner-up Kent Robinson.

Teammate Kevin Cole was also in action over the weekend, as he traveled to the Paducah International Raceway in Paducah, Kentucky on Friday for a $1,000 to win weekly UMP program. After winning his heat race to earn the pole position for the A-Main, Kevin led half of the feature event before finishing an impressive runner-up behind only winner Terry English. Full results from the entire weekend can be accessed by logging onto www.paducahracing.com, www.molerracewaypark.com, and www.florencespeedway.com.

“Our car is just really working well right now at Florence,” commented James earlier this week. “That is a good feeling heading into not only this weekend’s show, but also the Ralph Latham Memorial on June 2. It was a good weekend for us to run up front at Moler and then win again at Florence. Hopefully, we can close out the month of May with a couple more strong runs this upcoming weekend!”

Jason Riggs will join Kevin Cole and Scott James in Dirt Late Model competition over the busy Memorial Day holiday weekend. The trio of drivers are scheduled to tackle three different ovals in the states of Illinois, Kentucky, and Ohio from May 25-27. You can watch the #81 teams sling dirt this weekend at the following venues:
