Springfield,Mo.-The Running of the 3rd annual Reliable Chevrolet/GM Performance B-Mod challenge will be held Saturday night June 2nd with $500 going to the feature winner of the scheduled 25 lap event while it will pay $100 to start the feature along with a full show of Transport Graphics Championship point races.Also all cub scouts,boy scouts and girl scouts along with the Den Masters will be admitted free if in uniform.
This special event for the B-Modifieds is becoming one of the most awaited for area drivers as the get their chance to shine in front of race fans at the “Quick-Quarter’ along with taking home some extra dollars to the racing budget.
This event started in 2010 as Reliable Chevrolet along with GM Performance introduced the Gm 602 Crate motor program to try and help reduce the cost of racers with a reliable motor.Springfield officials have worked on the rules package with the Spec motor and the GM 602 Crate motor to where there is an even balance.Jon Yeoman Jr of Granby captured the first ever event after the redraw in passing points placed Yeoman and crate motor driver JC Morton on the front row in an actioned packed feature.
In 2011 veteran Larry Tindle took his 602 GM Crate motor to the biggest win of his career both money wise and personnel as his long time race fan and mother in law was able to see him win the last race she was able to attend as health issues took her away from the family the following week.
This will be a SURE track and National points race for the B-Modifieds with drivers drawing for heat race spots.The passing points system and format will help determine the starting field and the top 8 points cars will redraw for starting spots.With Reliable Chevrolet in Springfield and GM Performance jumping heavy this season at Springfield Raceway as $350 in GM Performance money is available to the drivers with a Reliable 602 Crate motor with the top finishing motor taking home an extra $125 on top of the race earnings while $100, $75 and $50 go to the next highest Main Event Crate motors.
There will be a $25 Car Entry Fee for the B-Mods in this event as pit passes will be normal cost of $25.
A Full show of Transport Graphics Points races will also be on hand as the USRA Modifieds,Midwest Modz,Legends,Pure Stocks,Young Lions Kids Legend class and Street Stocks also compete.

Grandstand Gates open at 5PM as the pit gates open at 4PM.Hot laps begin at 6PM with local drivers meeting at 5:40 and the first race rolls at 7PM.
Grandstand Admission is only $12 for Adults with kids 6-12 only $5 and under 6 Free.
