Tri-City Speedway(HARRISBURG, ILLINOIS) Harrisburg, Illinois based Riggs Motorsports, like most other Dirt Late Model teams, was very active over the Memorial Day holiday weekend. Scott James headed to the Florence Speedway in Union, Kentucky on Saturday, May 26 and the famed Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio on May 27. On Saturday at Florence, Scott ran fourth in his heat race, started seventh in the $1,500 to win feature event, and advanced up to second to finish behind only race winner Robby Hensley. At the “Big E” on Sunday, the driver known as “The Silver Shark” finished second in his heat race prior to notching a fifth place performance in the $2,000 to win ALMS main event behind only Matt Miller, Steve Casebolt, Jeep Van Wormer, and Jeff Babcock.

Kevin Cole and Jason Riggs both traveled to the Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, Illinois for a pair of events on Friday and Sunday. In the weekly show on Friday night at the St. Louis area venue, Kevin wound up fourth in the $1,200 to win A-Main, while Jason won his heat race and the dash prior to missing the setup for the feature and dropping to seventeenth in the final finishing order. On Sunday at Granite City, the $10,000 to win ‘Budweiser 50’ drew a strong field of cars to town. Jason unfortunately missed out on transferring into the 50-lap main event, while Kevin was the first retiree on his way to a twenty-fourth place effort.
