Eldora Speedway(PINCONNING, MICHIGAN) Jeep Van Wormer and the Iron Motorsports team tackled a trio of American Late Model Series (ALMS) showdowns over the Memorial Day weekend (May 25-27) in the states of Michigan and Ohio. The tripleheader weekend kicked off with a trip to the Mount Pleasant Speedway in Mount Pleasant, Michigan on Friday night for the first of three $2,000 to win programs. Jeep started at the tail end of the feature event after getting caught up in a heat race skirmish and rallied to finish fourteenth in the final rundown.

On Saturday, the dirt-slinging action quickly turned to the Oakshade Raceway in Wauseon, Ohio. Jeep won his heat race after starting from the inside of the fourth row and later posted a seventh place performance in the $2,000 to win A-Main. In the weekend finale at the famed Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio on Sunday, the Pinconning, Michigan native once again won his heat race before putting forth his best effort of the holiday weekend. Jeep started sixth in the $2,000 to win main event and blasted up to third to finish only behind race winner Matt Miller and runner-up Steve Casebolt. Full results from the ALMS triple shot can be accessed online at www.dirtondirt.com.

The #55 team has decided to take the upcoming June 1-2 weekend off from Dirt Late Model competition, but will be busy preparing their equipment for the highest paying race in the industry. The 18th Annual ‘Dream 100’ presented by Ferris Commercial Mowers will take place on June 8-9 at the high banks of the Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio. Time trials and qualifying feature races will take place at the “Big E” next Friday night, while the heat races, consolation events, and the $100,000 to win ‘Dream 100’ are all scheduled for Saturday. Jeep has transferred into eight main events in his ‘Dream 100’ history and his best finish of sixth came last year!
