$750 To Win A-Mods plus Vintage Racing Father’s Day Special!

Lucas Oil SpeedwayWheatland, MO (June 12th, 2012) – Saturday, June 16th, the Diamond of Dirt Tracks will celebrate Father’s Day Weekend with a Special $750 to Win Pitts Homes USRA A-Modifieds presented by Hermitage Lumber. The Ozarks Vintage Racing Association will also be showcasing and racing Vintage racecars from the 60’s and 70’s. The Weekly Racing Championship Series at the Lucas Oil Speedway has been intense all season long and will continue to turn it up through the heat of the summer.

The ALPS Food Stores ULMA Late Models have Jeremy Kelley from Walnut Grove, Missouri on the top of the current point standings. Kelley claimed his first win on Saturday, June 9th since sustaining a broken back during a wreck in 2011. Kelley leads Tommy Cordray from Browning, Missouri. Phil Edmondson from Marionville, Missouri holds the third place points position.

In the Pitts Homes USRA A-Modifieds Jason Russell from Henley, Missouri, is still on top of the points standings. Terry Schultz from Sedalia, Missouri was in Victory Lane Saturday night and has moved up behind Russell in points. Local fan favorite, Jason Pursley from Wheatland, Missouri is in third.

In the Carson’s Corner Napa Factory Stocks, Sundance Keepper from Everton, Missouri leads the points chase. Mark Carter, Warrensburg, Missouri, has moved into second just 8 points out of the lead. Burl Woods from Republic, Missouri is third.

For theDJ’s RV B-Modifieds, Kris Jackson from Lebanon, Missouri remains the leader. Jackson is followed by Jeff Miller from Hermitage, Missouri. Shawn Strong from Billings, Missouri sits in the third place points position.

Saturday Night, special guests from the Tri-Lakes Corvette Club will be on display. More than 20 pristine vettes will fill up the spectator Midway. Be sure to bring Dad out early to enjoy the many displays. A special Dad’s Diamond Dash will be held at intermission with an awesome Diamond Nationals Gift Pack being awarded to one awesome Dad in attendance.

Gates will open at 5 PM. Hot Laps will kick off at 7 PM with racing at 7:30 PM. Adult General Admission Tickets are $12, Senior Admission age 62 and up and Active Military is $8, with Youth Admission age 6-15 only $5. Kids age 5 and under are always FREE at Lucas Oil Speedway. A Family Pass is also available and includes two adult admissions and up to three youth, with discounts on Famous Funnel Cakes, Go-Karts and in the Track Treasures Gift Shop for only $25.
