(GRAYSON, KENTUCKY) Josh McGuire, of Grayson, Kentucky, racked up his third feature win of the 2012 racing season on Friday night, June 8 at the Mountain Motor Speedway in Isom, Kentucky! Josh laid down the fastest lap during the United Super Dirt Car Series (USDCS) qualifying session and later won his heat race. The popular driver known as “Bad Fast” was indeed bad-fast during the ‘Roger Breeding Memorial,’ as he survived a wild race to pick up the $3,000 triumph over Jeremy Hines, Chris Combs, Victor Lee, and Jarrod Breeding.

On Saturday evening, June 9, the USDCS tour took the #41 team to the Lucky 7 Speedway in Colson, Kentucky for another $3,000 to win program. Josh timed in second quickest during qualifying and later finished second in heat race action. During the ‘Walter Combs Memorial’ main event, Josh got going late in the caution-plagued race and eventually claimed a third place performance behind only winner Chris Combs and runner-up Stephen Breeding. Full results from the USDCS double-dip can be viewed online at www.usdcs.com.

“Those were a couple of crazy races at Mountain Motor and Lucky 7, but it was a good money weekend for us,” commented McGuire this week. “We were good all night at Mountain Motor and then my car kept getting faster and faster during the feature at Lucky 7. Unfortunately, we just ran out of laps and I had to settle for third. I am really looking forward to racing at Southern Ohio and Beckley this weekend. Both places are paying good money and I have enjoyed some success at both facilities, so hopefully we can find ourselves racing towards the front all weekend!”

Next up for the JMR team will be a pair of lucrative events in the states of Ohio and West Virginia over the June 15-16 weekend. The 17th Annual ‘Pepsi Southern 100’ will take place on Friday evening at the Southern Ohio Speedway in Wheelersburg, Ohio. The unique format is headlined by a pair of $2,000 to win Qualifying Features prior to the 50-lap Championship Feature, which boasts a hefty $10,000 top prize. On Saturday, the action will quickly shift to the Beckley Motorsports Park in Beckley, West Virginia for the unsanctioned ‘Black Gold 50,’ which also pays $10,000 to the winner.
