Kankakee, Ill. – June 14, 2012 – Shannon Babb of Moweaqua, Ill., returned to the winning ways of his championship season a year ago, claiming the Hell Tour stop at Kankakee County Speedway and pocketing a nice $5,000 for his efforts.

Babb held off multiple challenges from Billy Moyer of Batesville, Ark., and a strong effort by Bobby Pierce, the son of legendary racer-turned-chassis builder Bob Pierce over the races final laps to claim his first victory on the 2012 tour. Pierce, who charged from fifth, would cross the line in second ahead of Moyer after racing 3-wide with multiple drivers over the course of the 40-lap main event including fourth finishing Jason Feger, of Bloomington, Ill. and fifth finisher Terry Casey of New London, Wis.
