(Macon, IL) This Saturday night June 16th, Macon Speedway presents the Mueller Distributing Miller Lite Beer Twin 50’s. The evening will consist of two 50 lap features, one for the UMP Super Late Model division and the other for the UMP Billingsley Towing Modified division. Macon Speedway is proud to be giving both divisions an increase in their weekly feature payout. The Late Models will be racing back to the checkered for $1,500 to win, while the UMP Modifieds will battle for $750 to win. The Mueller Dist. Miller Lite Beer Twin 50’s will also include our other weekly divisions; UMP Sportsman, UMP Street Stocks and Pro and Amateur Hornets.
The action on the well prepared, 1/5 mile high bank oval has been fast and furious all season. The points leaders this week in their divisions are: UMP Super Late Models – Matt Taylor (Springfield), Billingsley Towing Modifieds – Guy Taylor (Decatur), UMP Sportsman – Rick Roedel (Shelbyville), UMP Street Stocks – Larry Russell Jr., UMP Pro Hornet – Jeremy Reed (Decatur), Amateur Hornet – Derek Peters (Pana).
Mark the calendar for the Saturday June 23rd Building Systems of Illinois featuring The Poweri Mini Sprint Nationals along with the Midgets. On June 30th Macon Speedway features the 95Q Firecracker 40’s and fireworks to celebrate our nation’s birthday. We will definitely fire things up for the Independence Day holiday the action heats up at the track for the Herald & Review 100 featuring the UMP Summer Nationals on July 5th.
