(WHEATLAND, MISSOURI) June 17, 2012 – Jeremy Payne from Springfield, MO claimed $750 to Win in the Pitts Homes USRA A-Modifieds presented by Hermitage Lumber on Saturday Night. An excellant field of the regions top Modified drivers were on hand for the Lucas Oil Weekly Racing Championship Series Father’s Day Special. JD Hubert from Cross Timbers, Missouri took the checkers first in the ALPS Food Stores ULMA Late Models. Kris Jackson from Lebanon returned to Victory Lane for the fifth time in the DJ’s RV B-Modifieds and Mark Carter of Warrensburg, Missouri, claimed his first win in 2012 at the Diamond of Dirt Tracks in the Carson’s Corner Napa Factory Stocks.

The Carson’s Corner Napa Factory Stocks rolled out first. Mark Carter is always a top competitor in the class and battled with Sundance Keepper from Everton, MIssouri before cruising onto Victory Lane. Carter finished just ahead of Randy Gilmore from Wheatland, Missouri. Gilmore was fast all night long and was able to begin closing the gap on Carter with a couple laps to go .Keepper finished in third, Chip Shaddox from Wheatland, Missouri was fourth and Johnny Coats from Joplin, Missouri finished the night in fifth. Alan Ferguson from Adrian, Missouri was the Hard Charger racing from 24th place start to finish 11th.

In DJ’s RV B-Modifieds Kris Jackson from Lebanon, made his fifth appearance in Victory Lane at Lucas Oil Speedway in 2012. Jackson worked for the win challenging Shawn Strong from Billings, Missouri multiple times for the race lead. Eventually with only one lap to go, Jackson cleared Strong for the win. Logan Martin from West Plains, Missouri finished in third. Josh Calvert from Hallsville, Missouri was followed by Colt Pruente from Vernoa, Missouri to complete the top five. Cale Tuner from Jefferson City, Missouri was the Hard Charger finishing 7th, Turner started in 20th.

Next out were the ALPS Food Stores ULMA Late Models. JD Hubert started the feature from the front row. Hubert and Joe Walkenhorst from Lee’s Summit, Missouri raced side-by-side for many of the 20 lap feature’s beginning laps. Hubert was patient and consistent and eventually cruised into Victory Lane ahead of Walkenhorst. Jason Bodenhamer from Sedalia, Missouri was the Hard Charger coming from 14th place starting position to finish the night in 3rd. Mike Montague from Lebanon, Missouri and Jason Russell from Henley, Missouri rounded out the top five.

As rained moved into the area on Saturday Night, the Pitts Homes USRA A-Modifieds lined up for a 25 Lap A Main Event for $750 to Win from Hermitage Lumber. Johnny Bone Jr. 2011 USRA National Champion from Pea Ridge, Arkansas started from the Pole Position. Bone Jr. remained out front for the opening laps of the feature. After a couple cautions, Jeremy Payne from Springfield, Missouri worked his way forward to challenge for the lead. Bone Jr. and Payne went back and forth giving fans an exciting and intense battle for the lead. Eventually Payne passed Bone Jr. A pair of late race cautions allowed the two to stack back up, Bone Jr. made pass on Payne late, but was unable to keep the spot. Payne and Bone Jr. were followed by Jason Hughes from West Plains, Missouri to the finish. Terry Schultz from Sedalia, Missouri was fourth and Logan Martin from West Plains, Missouri was fifth. Jason Pursley from Wheatland, Missouri was the feature’s Hard Charger. Pursley started in 20th and finished in 7th.
