DIRTcar Summer NationalsCrofton, Kentucky (06/26/12) – Dillan White recently concluded a busy stretch behind the wheel of his #54 DW Motorsports/Mastersbilt/Jay Dickens Racing Engine Super Late Model that included five events in five days. When the dust finally settled he had claimed his first win of the year as well as three top five finishes.

After falling just short of qualifying for the feature event on Wednesday night in UMP DIRTCar Nationals action at Highland Speedway (Highland, Illinois), the team traveled to Fayette County Speedway (Brownstown, Illinois) on Thursday evening for another $5,000-to-win, UMP DIRTCar Summernationals event. With 41 entries on hand the night would start much better for Dillan as he qualified fastest in his group to lock into the pole starting spot for the third heat race. After battling for the lead for much of the heat he recorded a second place finish at the checkered flag, which locked him into the sixth starting spot for the 40 lap feature. In the main event he raced in the top ten for much of the event before slipping to an thirteenth place finish at the checkered flag. Full results are available at www.TheHellTour.com.
On Friday evening the team traveled to Farmer City Raceway (Farmer City, Illinois) for a Weekly Racing Series Event that drew a field of eighteen competitors. Dillan began his night by qualifying third fastest to earn the outside-front-row starting spot for the first heat race. He claimed the win in the heat, which locked him into the pole starting spot for the feature event with Joe Harlan starting alongside him. As the feature went green White bolted to the lead and once out front would never look back as he raced to his first win of the 2012 campaign! He was followed across the finish line by Harlan, Daren Friedman, Steve Lance Jr., and Bob Gardner. Full results are available at www.FarmerCityRacing.com.

Saturday night found the team competing in a $1,500-to-win event at Western Kentucky Speedway (Nebo, Kentucky). In time trials Dillan recorded the sixth fastest time to earn the third starting spot for his heat race. Unfortunately in the heat he would make contact with the wall, which kept him from challenging for the win. As a result he started sixth in the main event before passing three cars to register a third place finish at the checkered flag.

Dillan concluded his ultra-busy week on Sunday night at Clarksville Speedway (Clarksville, Tennessee) with a Weekly Racing Series Event. Via preliminary action he earned the fifth starting spot for the Super Late Model feature and went on to advance three spots to record a second place finish at the checkered flag behind race winner, Terry English. Full results are available at www.ClarksvilleSpeedway.com.

This week will see the team taking in a pair of events with the first being on Thursday, June 28th at Clayhill Motorsports (Atwood, Tennessee) as White enters a $5,000-to-win, UMP DIRTCar Summernationals event. On Saturday evening the team will travel to Lake Cumberland Speedway (Burnside, Kentucky) for a $2,000-to-win, unsanctioned event.
