World of Outlaws Late Model Series(SOLON SPRINGS, WISCONSIN) The Brady Smith Racing team trekked east from June 28-30 to compete in the 6th Annual ‘Firecracker 100’ presented by GottaRace.com. The World of Outlaws Late Model Series biggie drew a stellar 56 car field to the Keystone State speedplant for the tripleheader weekend. In the pair of $6,000 to win prelims, Brady Smith finished second in his heat race and eighth in the 30-lap feature event on Thursday night, while he won his heat race and led early in the 30-lapper on Friday evening before winding up third behind only winner Dan Stone and runner-up Scott Bloomquist.

Following the strong start to his ‘Firecracker 100’ weekend, the stakes got much higher for Brady on Saturday, as a whopping $30,000 payday was on the line. The Solon Springs, Wisconsin standout won his heat race in preliminary action and later redrew the sixth starting spot prior to the 100-lapper. In front of the cameras of the SPEED Channel, Brady raced hard early in the mega-event, but setup changes made to his #2 entry before the race caused him to slide back through the field. He eventually retired after 54 circuits and wound up twenty-third in the final rundown of the 2012 edition of the ‘Firecracker 100.’ Complete results from Lernerville can be accessed online at www.worldofoutlaws.com.

Next up for the #2 team will be the six-race World of Outlaws Late Model Series “Wild West Tour” from July 6-14. Brady will welcome the national touring series to his turf starting tomorrow night, July 6 at the AMSOIL Speedway in Superior, Wisconsin. From there, the “Wild West Tour” will snake through the states of Minnesota, South Dakota, and North Dakota, as well as Canada. The next six races for the Brady Smith Racing team are as follows:
