Jetmore, KS (July 6, 2012) – Jesse Stovall of Galena, MO extended his points lead over Tony Jackson Jr. of Lebanon, MO winning night one of the “Showdown”. Stovall led every lap of the twenty five lap feature, holding off 6-time MARS champion, Terry Phillips of Springfield, MO.

Stovall’s win was worth $1,500 and was the prequel for the main event tomorrow night, the $12,000 to win $1,200 to start “Showdown”.

Phillips finished second with Clay Daly of Watsonville, CA; Morgan Bagley of Tyler, TX and Eric Turner of Hermitage, MO rounding out the top five.

Next up for the MARS series will be the “Showdown” in Jetmore, KS at the Great American Dirt Track July 7, 2012
