Terry Phillips Toughens Up For MARS Win at Jetmore

Jetmore, KS (July 7, 2012) – Terry Phillips of Springfield, MO wins the “Showdown” at the Great American Dirt Track. Ninth starting Phillips took the lead from pole-sitter Gary Christian of Broken Bow, OK on lap 12 of the 50 lap race and never looked back. Phillips win was worth $12,000 and his 79th career-win with the MARS series.

Tony Jackson Jr., of Lebanon, MO finished second to Phillips and picked up $5,000, the richest of his late model career. Ricky Thornton Jr., of Chandler, AZ; “Showdown” inaugural winner John Anderson of Omaha, NE and Morgan Bagley of Tyler, TX rounded out the top five.
