KTTS Night plus Ozarks Food Harvest Food Drive on Saturday at Lucas Oil Speedway!

Lucas Oil SpeedwayWheatland, MO (July 17th, 2012) – Saturday night at Lucas Oil Speedway join KTTS for a special Food Drive to benefit Ozarks Food Harvest. Admission to KTTS Night is the donation of 4 non-perishable food items. That’s right, FREE admission on Saturday by donating 4 non-perishable food items. Ozarks Food Harvest will be on hand to accept food items at the entrance to the Diamond of Dirt Tracks. Rain washed out the Casey’s General Stores Mid-Season Points Championship on July 7th. Saturday night the Lucas Oil Speedway Weekly Racing Series will highlight the evening with the crowning of the Casey’s General Store Mid-Season Points Champions in each class. KTTS will be live at Lucas Oil Speedway with a remote broadcast and have fun give-a-ways for fans!

The ALPS Food Stores ULMA Late Models will be the featured class of the night. Check out the top contenders of the Late Model class, up for $1000 to Win Presented by Lucas Motorcycle Oil. Jeremy Kelley from Walnut Grove, Missouri and Jason Russell from Henley, Missouri are separated by 30 points in for the Casey’s General Store Mid-Season Points Championship title. Tommy Cordray from Browning, Missouri is not out of contention only 34 points back from the Kelley in the lead.

For the Pitts Homes USRA A-Modfieds, a near photo-finish ended last Saturday’s feature and the points battle within the class is just as close. Terry Schultz from Sedalia, Missouri is just 29 points ahead of Jason Russell. Russell currently holds second position in both the Late Model and Modified class. Saturday night is set to bring the best of the best out in each of these competitors.

In the Carson’s Corner Napa Factory Stock class, Marc Carter from Warrensburg, Missouri is closely tailed by Sundance Keepper from Everton, Missouri. Keepper is only 2 points behind Carter in the lead. The two top drivers in the Factory Stock class continue to battle for the win, week after week. Chip Shaddox from Wheatland, Missouri is just outside of the battle, 86 points back.

The 2012 race schedule brought the B-Modified class back to Lucas Oil Speedway. DJ’s RV Sales and Service from Bolivar, Missouri sponsors the class and has offered multiple incentives and opportunities for bonus pay throughout the season. The great partnership has built a strong field of drivers. This class has featured some of the most intense on track battles for position, the lead and race wins! In the last appearance of DJ’s RV B-Mods a last lap wreck ended two top drivers night. Kris Jackson from Lebanon, Missouri leads Jeff Miller from Hermitage, Missouri by 40 Championship Points. Shawn Strong from Billings is 64 points out of the lead.

Hot Laps at 7:00 and racing at 7:30.
