Springfield Raceway Falls To Weather

Springfield RacewaySpringfield, Mo.- Action at the “Quick-Quarter” of the Springfield Raceway has fallen to weather. With light mist and over 80% coming in by race time of wet weather, Officials have cancelled Saturday Night’s August 25th event.

Action will resume next Saturday Night September 1st as the Transport Graphics Season Championships will be held along with the tribute to long time fan Wanda “Granny” Jeffries who passed away late last season.

Action will feature USRA Budweiser Modifieds, Reliable Chevrolet GM Performance USRA B Modifieds, Casey’s General Stores Midwest Modz, Wheeler Metals Legends and Young Lions, Pepsi Pure Stocks, and Williams Lawn Care and Preservation Street Stocks with Racing at 7:30PM.

Springfield Raceway will still be racing following the Season Championships with currently 4 Big Specials, The Larry Phillips Memorial Presented By Home Pro on Saturday September 15th featuring the MLRA/MARS Super Late Models (Weather date is September 22nd), The Bordertown Casino Octoberfast on Saturday October 6th featuring the ASCS Warrior And Sooner Regional Winged Sprint Cars, The 2nd Annual Boogerman Trick Or Treat For Breast Cancer Special on Saturday October 27th, And The always Popular Turkey Classic on Saturday November 17th with a weather date of November 24th.
