(August 28, 2012) Buckner, MO – This weekend the Lucas Oil MLRA will be in action at Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, MO for the Fall Shootout. It will mark the 4th appearance this season at the Diamond of Dirt Tracks for the series, and the second race as the sole sanction. Back in April, John Anderson survived, and held off a hard charging Jesse Stovall late, to score his first ever Lucas Oil Speedway victory. Since the victory Anderson has stormed to AAA Missouri Victory Lane five more times. Brad Looney won this race last season and is expected to return Saturday night.
A large field of competitors is expected. For drivers wishing to make it a two race weekend, The 42nd Annual 4 State Dirt Track Championship will take place Sunday evening at Monett Speedway in Monett, MO. It will be sanctioned by the MARS Series. Monett Speedway is located just over an hour and a half from Lucas Oil Speedway.
Saturday evening’s race will also feature USRA Modifieds in a $750 to win special event. Lucas Oil Speedway will be buzzing with activity all weekend as the 2nd Annual Diamond Drag Boat Nationals will take place on Lake Lucas from Friday through Sunday.
