(BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS) Billy Moyer, of Batesville, Arkansas, celebrated in victory lane for the fifteenth time in 2012 on Saturday night, August 25 at the Federated Raceway at I-55 in Pevely, Missouri! Billy set fast time during the qualifying session and later won his heat race in preliminary action. The driver known as “Mr. Smooth” then tracked down early race leader Brian Shirley and went on to claim the checkers in the 40-lapper. Billy captured the $5,000 MARS DIRTcar Series triumph by besting son Billy Moyer, Jr., Brian Shirley, Shannon Babb, and Randy Korte. Next up for the Billy Moyer Racing (BMR) team will be a trio of events in the states of Illinois and Ohio from August 31-September 2. The Fairbury American Legion Speedway in Fairbury, Illinois will take center stage on Friday with the $5,000 to win ‘Prairie Dirt Shootout’ and on Saturday with the $10,000 to win ‘Prairie Dirt Classic.’ Following the doubleheader at FALS, the #21 team is scheduled to head to the ‘Baltes Classic’ at the famed Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio on Sunday. The American Late Model Series (ALMS) showdown provides some valuable track time at the “Big E” and a $3,000 top prize.
