(BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS) With rainy weather the norm over the Labor Day holiday weekend, Billy Moyer was able to get one race into the record books on Sunday, September 2 at the Monett Speedway in Monett, Missouri. The MARS DIRTcar Series sanctioned the annual running of the ‘4-State Dirt Track Championship’ and a $4,000 top prize was on the line. Billy won his heat race in preliminary action and later finished the A-Main in the runner-up spot behind only winner Jesse Stovall. Up next for the #21 Billy Moyer Racing (BMR) team will be their yearly trek to the famed Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio on September 7-8 for the 42nd Annual ‘World 100.’ The biggest event in the Dirt Late Model industry will kick-off this Friday night with qualifying, while heat races, consolation events, and the 100-lap main event are slated for Saturday evening. The victor of the 2012 ‘World 100’ will receive a $45,000 winner’s check and the famous globe trophy. Billy will be seeking his seventh ‘World 100′ title this weekend, as he emerged victorious in 1991, 1993, 1994, 1998, 2000, and 2010.
