Paducah International Raceway to Host the First Ever Barbecue 100 Plus Season Championships

Paducah International RacewayTHE COUNTDOWN CONTINUES FOR SEPTEMBER 28TH’S BLOCKBUSTER EVENT

Paducah, KY- September 12, 2012- The countdown continues for Paducah International Raceway’s Blockbuster event– The Barbecue 100 plus the Season Championships on Friday, September 28th. The Super Late Models, Pro (Crate) Late Models, Modifieds, Street Stocks, 4-Cylinder Warriors, the High School Warriors, and the Kentucky Vintage will be running their Season Championships. Pit Gates open at 4:00 PM. Grandstands open at 5:00 PM. Hot Laps at 6:30. Qualifying at 7:00 PM, and Racing at 7:30 PM. Tickets are $12 for Adults. Children 12 and under are Free. Pit Admission is $25.

With $1,500 to win for the Super Late Models, Benton, Kentucky’s Tim Brown is about to realize his dream of his first PIR Track Championship. Keeping it in the family, his son, Cameron Brown, will seal his bid of his first Track Championship in the $750 to win Pro (Crate) Late Model Feature. Multiple Track Champion JR Mason is poised to become the 2012 Modified Champion with $1,000 on the line in the Feature race. Former Street Stock Champion Mike Watson secured his top spot early in the season heading into the Championship race. The closest points race of the season comes down to four point difference between first place, 2010 4-Cylinder Warrior Champion Kyle Clark and second-place Mat Hartman. This battle will be decided in a 15 lap Special sponsored by James Smith Heating and Cooling, Battery Outlet and Tires, and Charlie Barker’s Used Cars. In the High School Warriors division, 16-points separate first place AJ Keeling and second place Daniel Edwards as they both vie for their first Track Championship.
