Knoxville Raceway(CARPENTERSVILLE, ILLINOIS) Dennis Erb, Jr. and his #28 team traveled to the renowned Berlin Raceway in Marne, Michigan on September 21-22 for the inaugural running of the ‘Down & Dirty 100.’ Over 300 truckloads of clay was placed on the 7/16-mile asphalt oval for the historic race, which boasted a hefty $20,000 top prize. After rain showers invaded the area on Friday night, the entire show was condensed into a one-day format on Saturday.

In preliminary action, Dennis laid down the fourth fastest lap of the 32 entrants during World of Outlaws Late Model Series qualifying and later ran second in his loaded heat race. After rolling off from the inside of the third row in the 100-lap feature event, Dennis had a quiet, steady run in the ‘Down & Dirty 100′ and placed eighth in the final finishing order.
