Dirt Track World Championship - DTWCSalt Rock, West Virginia (10/18/12) – Eddie Carrier Jr. took his #28 Grover Motorsports/Engines Inc./Rocket/Grover Racing Engine Super Late Model into battle last weekend in a single event and came away with a podium finish in the Fall 50 at Florence Speedway (Union, Kentucky).

The $5,000-to-win event attracted a field of twenty-seven Super Late Models to the half mile oval. Carrier Jr. started his evening by racing to the win in the first heat race, which locked him into the pole starting spot for the 50 lap finale. As the race went green Eddie would slip back several spots as he struggled to find where his car would handle best. However, as the race progressed he began to work his way forward, and by the time that the checkered flag dropped he was credited with a third place finish behind race winner, Kent Robinson, and Eric Wells.

“It took me a few laps to find my groove at Florence. You hate it anytime you don’t win a race from the pole, but if I can’t win I’m really happy for Kent (Robinson). He’s had a lot of bad luck this year and deserved a win,” noted Carrier Jr.

Full results from the event are available at www.FlorenceSpeedway.com.
This weekend, October 19th-20th, the team turns their attention to the 32nd Annual Red Buck Dirt Track World Championship as Eddie chases the $50,000 purse in the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) sanctioned event. Many of the nation’s top drivers will converge on Portsmouth Raceway Park (Portsmouth, Ohio) for the crown jewel. For more information on the event, please visit www.LucasDirt.com .
