Quad City Speedway’s 2013 Schedule
Second year promoters, K&S Promotions, of the Quad City Speedway at the Rock Island County Fairgrounds in East Moline, IL, are proud to announce the 2013 schedule of events. Weekly racing at the Quad City Speedway in 2013 will include the IMCA Late Models, UMP Modifieds, IMCA Modifieds, Street Stocks, and the 4 Cylinders. Also racing will be the Mod Lites and the highly anticipated return on the Figure 8’s. The Mod Lites and Figure 8’s will be alternating racing every other Sunday to start the season.
The first event on the 2013 schedule will a K&S Promotions hosted Preseason Driver’s Meeting at Leisure Time in East Moline, IL, on Saturday, February 16th. Leisure Time is located at 845 Avenue of Cities, East Moline, IL. We ask that all drivers and/or car owners please attend the meeting. The meeting will be broke up into 7 sessions: IMCA Late Models – 9am to 10am, UMP Modifieds – 10am to 11am, IMCA Modifieds – 11am to Noon, Street Stocks – Noon to 1pm, 4 Cylinders – 1pm to 2pm, Figure 8’s – 2pm to 3pm, and Mod Lites – 3pm to 4pm
Weather permitting there will be a car show and a practice session on Saturday, April 13th. Car show and practice times will be announced at a later time. Racing action will get underway on Sunday, April 14th, with hot laps at 5:15pm and racing at 5:30pm in all five weekly racing divisions plus the Figure 8’s will be racing.
Racing is scheduled for every Sunday from April 14th to September 1st with the exceptions of Sunday, June 23rd, and Sunday, July 14th there will be no racing those nights. Racing after September 1st will be announced at a later time.
The 2013 schedule is highlighted by several special events. The first special event will be the Hershel Roberts Memorial Deery Brothers IMCA Late Model Summer Series on Sunday, May 5th. Other special events include the 20th Annual Gary Reinhart Memorial featuring the UMP Modifieds on Sunday, May 26th, the 8th Annual Ronnie Weedon Memorial featuring the UMP Modifieds on Sunday, June 9th, and the Inaugural Ron Marks Memorial featuring the Street Stocks on Sunday, September 1st. Other specials are in the works and will be announced at a later time.
