Lucas Oil Late Model Series(CARPENTERSVILLE, ILLINOIS) The Dennis Erb Racing team tackled the first two events on the inaugural National Dirt Racing League (NDRL) schedule on April 12-13 in the states of Kentucky and Missouri. On Friday night at the Paducah International Raceway in Paducah, Kentucky, Dennis Erb, Jr. timed in seventh quickest in his group during the qualifying session and later placed fourth in his heat race. Following a triumph in his B-Main, Dennis rolled off starting from the outside of the tenth row in the $20,000 to win feature event. During the course of the 75-lapper, Dennis climbed all the way up inside of the top ten before a late flat tire and battery issue dropped him to an eleventh place performance.

Another $20,000 top prize was on the line on Saturday evening at the Federated Raceway at I-55 in Pevely, Missouri. Dennis laid down the second fastest lap in his group during time trials prior to taking the win in his loaded heat race. The Carpentersville, Illinois ace redrew the sixth starting spot before the 75-lap A-Main and eventually wound up sixth in the final rundown behind only winner Jimmy Owens, Brian Birkhofer, Jimmy Mars, Billy Moyer, and Brandon Sheppard. Dennis walked away from the doubleheader weekend sixth in the latest version of the new NDRL point standings. Full results can be viewed online at www.thendrl.com.

Dennis and his #28 team will rejoin the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series schedule this upcoming weekend (April 19-21) in a trio of $10,000 to win battles in the states of Pennsylvania, Maryland, and West Virginia. Up first will be a trip to the Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex in Markleysburg, Pennsylvania on Friday followed by a visit to the legendary Hagerstown Speedway in Hagerstown, Maryland on Saturday. The triple shot of racing action will conclude on Sunday at the reconfigured West Virginia Motor Speedway in Mineral Wells, West Virginia.
