NDRL - National Dirt Racing League(MENOMONIE, WISCONSIN) The Mars Racing team traveled south to the states of Kentucky and Missouri on April 12-13 for the first two events on the highly-anticipated National Dirt Racing League (NDRL) schedule. On Friday night at the Paducah International Raceway in Paducah, Kentucky, Jimmy Mars ran second in his heat race, which locked him into the outside of the sixth row for the start of the $20,000 to win feature event. During the course of the 75-lap affair, Jimmy worked his way past nine competitors on his way to a sterling third place effort behind only winner Josh Richards and runner-up Jimmy Owens.

Next up was a trip to the Federated Raceway at I-55 in Pevely, Missouri on Saturday evening for another $20,000 to win battle. Jimmy laid down the third fastest lap overall of the 50 entrants during qualifying and later took the win in his heat race. The Menomonie, Wisconsin ace ran as high as second in the 75-lapper before once again finishing third in the final rundown behind victor Jimmy Owens and runner-up Brian Birkhofer. Jimmy currently finds himself second in the latest version of the NDRL point standings following the doubleheader weekend. Full results can be found online at www.thendrl.com.

Following the successful NDRL weekend, the #28 team plans to take the next two weekends off from racing action. They are scheduled to return to competition on May 3-4 in a pair of $10,000 to win Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series showdowns in the states of Illinois and Kentucky. The Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, Illinois will be up first on that Friday night, while another trip to the Paducah International Raceway in Paducah, Kentucky will close out the weekend on that Saturday.
